Deploying Lion Conservation Ambassadors, predator-proof bomas, and early warning systems to reduce conflict and improve safety.
Strengthening Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs), restoring habitats through tree planting, promoting clean cooking solutions, and supporting agroforestry.
Vocational training, poultry, beekeeping, eco-entrepreneurship, and climate-smart agriculture to improve resilience and reduce reliance on natural resources.
Wildlife clubs, film screenings, radio programs, park trips, workshops, and creative youth engagement to inspire lasting conservation awareness.
We focus on the lion landscapes of Western Tanzania — covering Rukwa, Katavi, and Tabora regions, and districts including Mpimbwe, Mlele, Nsimbo, Tanganyika, Sikonge, Urambo, Kaliua, and Nkasi. We prioritize 25 of the most vulnerable villages bordering protected areas such as Katavi National Park, Ugalla River National Park, Mahale Mountains, and key game reserves like Lwafi, Rukwa, and Inyonga.
